Happy New Year to all CWB Members

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a good Christmas break! Welcome back to the second half of the season.

Just a reminder to everyone on the various member benefits that our Club Captain Mark Loynd sent out in an email. Some of you may have missed it if you were away for the break but I wanted to thank Mark for his work in organising these things and also encourage all members to take advantage of these benefits. Please let Mark know a.s.a.p if you also want to to take advantage of the excellent deals.

I would also encourage everyone to attend the supporters kit evening at Carnegies on 23rd January. There is some really smart CWB supporters gear available for order and it's another opportunity to wear the club colours with pride and raise the profile of CWB RFC at the same time. Hope to see plenty of you there on the night after the games.

Have a great 2010 and see you all on the pitch or on the touchline

Best regards

Dave Knights
Chairman

Our Club

Causeway Bay Rugby Football Club's purpose is to foster greater participation and enjoyment of rugby among Hong Kong's local Chinese population.

The Causeway Bay Rugby Football Club was founded in 1988 as a development side. Originally an all-Chinese team, CWB Rams began to recruit expatriate players in 1992 and debuted in the second division in 1994. The Club's development has accelerated since then.

In 1995 we were able to field a second side, CWB Pirates. Entering into the Club's 10th year, we were proud to introduce the CWB Phoenix in the women's league in 1997.

In 2002 we were able to field a third side, CWB Marines. We introduced the junior CWB Pheasants in the School League.

In 2004 we were proud to introduce CWB in the first division. Most of the players of the team were local Chinese players and Asians.

In 2008 the women's side was able to field a second team, for ten's competition.

Currently Causeway Bay Rugby Football Club fields teams to compete in 15's 10's and 7's rugby.
